Michele Lynch resides in Riverhead with her husband of 35 years, Tom, a retired Riverhead Police Sargent. She and Tom are the proud parents of Patrick a NYPD Sargent, their daughter in-law, Krista Fuerman Lynch and granddaughter, Maddie.
Michele, recently retired, worked as an Organizer and Political Director for 1199SEIU UHE, a union of healthcare workers, where she was responsible for Long Island. She worked together with legislators and community coalitions and brings valuable experience in negotiation, arbitration and mediation.
Michele's vision for Riverhead includes a vibrant downtown area with a mix of business and housing in walkable communities. She will work to preserve and protect our natural resources.
She understands the uniqueness of each hamlet of Riverhead and she would actively communicate with residents of Laurel, Jamesport, Aquebogue, Northville, Baiting Hollow, Calverton, Wading River and downtown Riverhead addressing their issues.
As a longtime community advocate, Michele would work closely with the police department, the school district and all residents in a spirit of cooperation to address pressing issues such as the heroin/opioid epidemic, suicide prevention, isolation and gangs.
Michele believes we need to come and work together as a community to improve the quality of life for all our residents and for our future generations.
