Catherine Kent is a lifelong resident of Riverhead and the mother of three. After graduating from High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Central Methodist University and then obtained a Master of Liberal Arts Degree from Stony Brook University. She recently retired from a 31 year teaching career in Riverhead Schools.
Catherine chose to raise her family in Riverhead because she believes it has much to offer; beautiful waterways, rolling farm fields, small town values and citizens with a great work ethic.
A community advocate, Catherine will listen to constituents in all parts of Riverhead. She will use a common sense approach, bring people together and advocate for the town. She intends to aggressively address issues facing the town such as the future of the EPCAL site, parking in the downtown area, traffic congestion on Route 58 and the rising taxes. She believes in progress but not at the cost of small business owners or our quality of life.
Honest, diligent and hardworking, Catherine is ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work for the people of Riverhead.
