Catherine Kent is a lifelong resident of Riverhead and the mother of three. After graduating from High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Central Methodist University and then obtained a Master of Liberal Arts Degree from Stony Brook University. She recently retired from a 31 year teaching career in Riverhead Schools.
Michele Lynch resides in Riverhead with her husband of 35 years, Tom, a retired Riverhead Police Sargent. She and Tom are the proud parents of Patrick a NYPD Sargent, their daughter in-law, Krista Fuerman Lynch and granddaughter, Maddie.
A native of Riverhead, New York, Jeanmarie P. Costello is a 1978 summa cum laude graduate of St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, earning a B.S. in Sociology, Urban Studies, with an A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice. In 1981, Jeanmarie graduated from St. John’s University School of Law, Jamaica, New York, where she was a member of the Moot Court, Senior Bar and Criminal Law Institute.
Neil Krupnick has successfully owned his own small business since 1995. Currently, he is the President of the Northville Beach Civic Association. Neil recently led the fight to stop the United Riverhead Terminal from expanding an industrial non-conforming use in a residential area and is currently trying to convince the Riverhead Town Board to impose weight and size restrictions on trucks, especially those carrying hazardous materials, on our narrow, two lane roads.
Laura Jens-Smith has been an active community member since moving to Laurel in 2002. She has served on numerous community boards including the Board of Education.
Laura has always been there to lend a hand for her community working to spearhead new projects and initiatives. Currently, one of Laura's biggest projects is the work she does as a Project Coordinator for the North Fork Alliance. A community coalition whose goal is to reduce youth substance use.
Laura was raised in Port Jefferson Station and attended Comsewogue High School; she received her Associates Degree at Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing. Upon graduation, Laura began working as a staff nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit at Beth Israel Medical Center. While working as a nurse, Laura returned to school and received her Bachelors degree from Pace University.
Laura is married to her husband Robert M. Smith and they have been blessed to have two wonderful children, Molly and Ethan.

George Woodson was born and raised in the Town of Riverhead. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Army, where for four years he served as a Police Traffic Accident Investigator. Returning home, Mr. Woodson was hired by the Riverhead Highway Department, where he rose through the ranks to Crew Leader. In 2006 he ran for the office of Highway Superintendent, losing by just fifty votes. Not a man to give up, he ran again in 2008 and won.
Mr. Woodson feels that his 20 years of experience in the Highway Department has helped him to make many improvements as Highway Superintendent.
A Profile of Candidate Diane Wilhelm
Diane Wilhelm was born and raised in Riverhead and attended Riverhead schools. First appointed to the office of Town Clerk in November 2008, she was then elected to that office in November 2009. Her current four year term expires December 31, 2015. Prior to becoming Town Clerk, Ms. Wilhelm had worked in the Town Clerk's office for over 9 years, 7 of which as Deputy Town Clerk. In addition to Clerk, she is also the Record Management Officer, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Marriage Officer, and Notary Public for the Town of Riverhead.
